Not sure who to add to your StudentRoomStay application? This article will guide you through which residents should be added to ensure that your profile is complete and accurate.
Which Residents Should You Add to Your StudentRoomStay Host Application?
We understand that everyone's home is made up of different layouts and household members, our goal is to guide you through how to accurately and clearly display your household member make up via the AMP portal.
- Residents that will be interacting with the student(s) on a daily and weekly basis.
- Residents that will live on the same property as the student and will be interacting and sharing living space with the student.
- Non-residents members that visit and stay overnight for more than 3 nights more than 2 times a month.
- For example, if you have a household member that stays in the home every other week, that member should be added to the host application.
- Non-residents that will be providing transportation or any other services to the student(s).
Which Residents Should NOT Be Added To Your StudentRoomStay Host Application?
- Residents that live on the property and will never see or interact with the student during the duration of their stay.
- Residents who are not U.S. citizens. This includes international students and family members who do not have U.S citizenship.
- For example: International students over the age of 18 years old living in the home do not need to be added as a resident. Instead, please indicate in the Brief Summary section of the profile that an international student resides with you and which country he/she is from.
- Residents that come to visit for less than a week.
- Though these residents do not need to be added to the host application, StudentRoomStay should be notified of the details on who is coming and their arrival date and departure date.
