Homestay Transfer & Re-Matching Process

At StudentRoomStay, our priority is ensuring students feel safe, comfortable, and supported in their host homes. While most placements are successful, we recognize that sometimes challenges arise.

Step 1: Address Concerns Directly

  • Students should first attempt to resolve minor issues by communicating openly with their host family.

  • If needed, a StudentRoomStay representative can help mediate discussions between the student and host.

Step 2: Contact StudentRoomStay Support

  • If issues persist or the student feels uncomfortable after making reasonable efforts to resolve concerns, they should contact our Customer Success team.

  • Our team will review the situation, gather details, and determine the best course of action.

Step 3: Homestay Transfer / Re-Match

  • When a resolution cannot be reached, StudentRoomStay offers a structured transfer process.

  • Students may request a homestay transfer using our official process here: Homestay Transfers.

  • Transfers are handled carefully to minimize disruption while prioritizing student safety and wellbeing.

  • Transfers are not guaranteed but will be considered seriously when concerns are valid and unresolved.
