How do SRS homestays work?

SRS Homestays use a matching process to match students with a host that best fits the student's needs and preferences.

StudentRoomStay uses profiles created by the host and the student to find the best possible match. Once the best match has been found, the host will provide the student with a private or shared bedroom and an agreed upon meal plan.

Shared rooms are available in certain areas for study tours or large groups of students. Students who are offered the option for shared a room share a room with another student, not with a member of the Host family.

Hosts will also assist the student in learning the local customs and transportation systems, as well as generally helping the student become acquainted with the American lifestyle.

Our hope is that this is a mutually beneficial experience, where students are encouraged to share information about their home cultures and countries and hosts have the opportunity to learn more about another culture from the comfort of home.
