SRS Homestay Placement Agreement – Over 18

1. Purpose
This agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and housing terms for students 18 and older who are placed in a homestay through StudentRoomStay (SRS). By signing this agreement, the student confirms they understand and accept the guidelines of the SRS Homestay Program.

3. Host Family Responsibilities
Students placed under the Pro or Guardian (18+) package will receive:
- A private furnished bedroom with a bed, desk, storage, and window
- Meals as defined by the selected package (Pro = no meals, Guardian = 3 meals/day)
- Transportation support if included in the package
- A clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
- Respect for the student’s adult status, privacy, and independence
- Reasonable support in navigating local life, transportation, and basic needs
4. Student Responsibilities
Students agree to:
- Follow the SRS Student Code of Conduct, local laws, and house rules
- Maintain respectful relationships with all members of the household
- Keep their room and shared areas clean and orderly
- Communicate proactively with their host and SRS Support
- Notify SRS of any household concerns, changes in school status, or travel plans
- Participate in monthly check-ins with the SRS Support Team
Although students over 18 are adults, they are expected to behave in a manner that reflects maturity, cultural sensitivity, and consideration for others.
5. Travel & Independence
- Students must notify both SRS and their host family before traveling or leaving overnight
- Students may be required to provide a contact number or itinerary when traveling
- SRS reserves the right to intervene if a student’s travel or conduct creates a safety concern or affects the household environment
6. Relocation or Removal
SRS may reassign or remove a student from their host placement if:
- The student violates this agreement, house rules, or program standards
- The host family requests a change due to conflict or concerns
- A safety, health, or behavioral issue arises during the stay
Reassignment is not guaranteed and may require additional fees depending on the circumstances.
7. Liability & Insurance
Students are responsible for:
- Carrying valid health insurance throughout their program
- Covering the cost of any medical expenses, travel changes, or damages not included in the program
- Providing accurate and up-to-date contact and emergency information to SRS
8. Acknowledgement
By signing this agreement, the student confirms:
- They understand and agree to follow all SRS policies and host family expectations
- They will cooperate with SRS staff, respond to monthly check-ins, and notify SRS of any concerns
- They accept the terms of this agreement and understand that violations may result in program dismissal
