SRS Student Agreement
Applies to all students participating in a StudentRoomStay homestay program

1. Purpose
This agreement outlines the responsibilities, expectations, and guidelines for all students placed in a homestay through StudentRoomStay (SRS). By signing this agreement, students acknowledge that they are participating in a cultural exchange experience and agree to respect the household, community, and program rules throughout their stay.
2. Accurate Profile Information
Students and their families agree to:
- Submit truthful and accurate information during the application and placement process
- Notify SRS of any changes to health status, behavior concerns, allergies, or accommodation needs
- Provide complete emergency contact details prior to placement
- Upload required documents before arrival, including:
- Copy of passport and visa (if applicable)
- Flight itinerary
- School acceptance letter or enrollment confirmation
- Insurance details (medical and travel coverage)
Failure to provide accurate or timely information may result in delays, fees, or placement cancellation.
3. Behavior Expectations
Students agree to:
- Follow the Student Code of Conduct at all times
- Comply with all host family rules, school policies, and local laws
- Treat all members of the host household with respect, courtesy, and cultural sensitivity
- Refrain from smoking, drinking, using drugs, or engaging in any illegal activity
- Maintain communication with both SRS and their host family during the program
Violations of these expectations may result in warnings, probation, relocation, or removal from the program.
4. Program Requirements
All students must:
- Confirm their arrival date and time with SRS before booking international travel
- Participate in a host family orientation and comply with homestay guidelines
- Respond promptly to monthly check-in messages or surveys from the SRS Support Team
- Cooperate with host family schedules, meal times, and household responsibilities
- Maintain a working phone number and active email during the program
5. Financial Responsibility
Students and/or their families are responsible for:
- All program fees and tuition, including housing and support services
- Any damage caused to the host home beyond reasonable wear and tear
- All personal spending, transportation outside of school-related activities, and non-covered meals
- Providing their own toiletries, school supplies, and personal items
6. Placement Changes
SRS reserves the right to relocate a student if:
- The student violates program rules or household expectations
- The host family requests a move due to conflict or compatibility
- Safety, legal, or medical issues arise during the stay
SRS will make every effort to support students during transitions, but alternative housing is not guaranteed for students who are removed due to misconduct.
7. Acknowledgement
By signing this agreement, the student and parent/guardian (if under 18) confirm they:
- Have read and understood the terms of this agreement
- Agree to follow all program guidelines, codes of conduct, and SRS policies
- Understand that participation in the program may be terminated for non-compliance
