What placement stage am I in?

When you apply for a homestay with SRS, your journey goes through clear stages. Each stage tells you exactly where you are in the process:

You’ve signed up and paid your placement fee. You’re officially in our system.

Our team is searching for the best host family based on your profile and preferences.

We’ve presented you with one (or more) host options to review.

You and your host have both confirmed the placement. It becomes official once your first invoice is paid.

Time to complete orientation (StayPrep) and prepare for travel.

You’ve moved in with your host family and your homestay adventure begins!

Placement timelines vary, but most students are matched within 4–6 weeks. You’ll see your stage update automatically as you move forward.
