Navigating Your AMP Dashboard as a Host Family

This article will help you understand how to best use your Host Family AMP Portal.

When you log into your AMP portal, you will see your Dashboard

If you are joining the StudentRoomStay network for the first time

OR

If you applied, but never hosted a student with StudentRoomStay, you may notice that you have several steps to complete.

Four of the six steps will be accessible for you to complete at your convenience. However, the Home Inspection and Background Check sections will become available only after a representative from StudentRoomStay notifies you that a student is interested in residing with you.

Dashboard Menu

The left menu bar of the Dashboard will have:

  • A link to the Dashboard itself.
  • A link to a Locked Placement tab. This tab is not yet functional.
  • A link to view or complete your profile.
  • A link to your banking details as well as your payout details if you are currently hosting or have hosted in the past.
  1. Application Process

    1. Click on "Go to your profile" to edit your host application or view your public host profile.
    2. The percentage tells you have much more progress is needed for your to complete your application.
    3. Once you get your application to 100%, it will be put into a review stage. 
    4. A representative from StudentRoomStay will review your application to ensure it meets the necessary qualifications for approval. Review the links here to ensure that you your profile meets the requirements to be approved.

  2. Homestay Academy

    1. Click the "Get started" button on this tile to access our online training platform. 
    2. If your browser has a pop-up blocker enabled, you may experience difficulty in viewing the training, as it may not appear in a new window.
    3. Complete the training and earn a certificate of completion.
  3. Bank Details

    1. Click the "Setup your bank" button on this tile to add your routing and account number details. We need this information in order to compensate you for hosting.
    2. Once you are hosting, you will be able to click the "Finance" button to see your expected payout amount and upcoming payout date.

  1. Tax Details

    1. When you click the "Fill out your W9" button, you will be able to to download a copy of the W9 by clicking the "Get W9" button. 
    2. After you complete the downloaded W9, you can upload it to the AMP portal by clicking "Upload W9".  
    3. The uploaded file must be in any of these formats: .pdf, .jpg, jpeg in order to be uploaded successfully.


  2. Home Inspection

    1. Once unlock, you will be able to schedule a 15-30min virtual inspection with a member of the StudentRoomStay team. 
  3. Background Check

    1. Once unlock, each of your household members that are over the age of 18 years old will be able to start the background check process.
    2. You can start the process by clicking on the tile. 
    3. You will be able to invite other members of our household to start the background check process by emailing them.

NOTE: The Home Inspection and Background Check sections will only become available once you and the student have mutually agreed to proceed with the homestay arrangement.
